Golf GTE Production...

VW is the king of production efficiencies and the GTE shows us exactly why.

Quote:
Due to its construction method with the modular transverse matrix (MQB), the new GTE plug-in can be manufactured on the same manufacturing lines as all other Golf versions. Total bumper-to-bumper construction takes place next to the conventionally powered gasoline and diesel models from the brand, including the sporty Golf R variants and purely electrically propelled e-Golf. This flexibility will allow for reduced delivery times on future Volkswagen models, increased customer satisfaction and the possibility for lower volume models.
Imagine, an e-Golf R or something equally absurd.

An e-Golf R would be something to see. I am just trying to imagine what that would actually be like. Pretty fun I'm sure. One of the fastest and smallest EVs on the road today. Your Leaf can't do that!

Yeah, an e-Golf R would leaf it in the dust.

And with that I'm done for the day.

That indeed, I bet when looking at sales of both on a chart the golf would be leap years ahead.
