2014 Volkswagen Golf R 400 Concept

Check out the 2014 Volkswagen Golf R 400 Concept. The 400 stands for 400 PS (294 kW). The engine that motivates the Golf R 400 is a 2.0L 4-cylinder Turbo, and that engine moves the vehicle from 0-100 km/h in 3.9 seconds. Top speed comes in at 280 km/h, and horsepower comes in at 395.

My main question is if we might see the Golf GTE get a more highly powered variant, but I'm leaning towards that being unlikely. I am thinking that they are playing to two different audiences.

A particularly nice part of the Golf R 400 Concept is its interior. Yes, please.

That looks epic, I see a lot of audi inspiration in it's aero kit, even with the overall design, VW has really improved.

Maybe not exactly as we see it here but there's a chance we will see something in production that has a good percentage of what this has.

They sure did, I just wonder how much of it could make it into a production version.

I think that there has been enough interest surrounding this concept that it could make it to production. It will likely be toned down a bit for production though. The interior will be toned down, but it might keep the engine.

How do you think it will be toned down? What may we not see come time for production?
