Fast and Furious Volkswagen Jetta Heading to Auction

Another car featured in the Fast and Furious movie franchise is crossing the auction block.

This custom 1995 Volkswagen Jetta starred in the original movie and is currently owned by Frankie Muniz of TV, music, movie and racing fame. Looking just like it did when the movie was filmed, the modified Volkswagen Jetta is powered by a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine mated to an automatic transmission. It has made numerous appearances over the years to help promote the movie franchise and even has a custom stereo that incorporates a PlayStation 2 inside the car.

Not only is the car a part of movie history, it is also signed by actor Paul Walker, Chad Lindberg and director Rob Cohen.

Other notable cars that have been auctioned off this year from the Fast and Furious series include the Toyota Supra that Walker drove in the first movie. That custom Supra went for $185,000 at Mecum Acutions. The drift-themed, Veilside Nissan 350Z used in Fast and Furious 3: Tokyo Drift was also listed for sale by Cheshire Classic Cars for $234,000 in August.

The Volkswagen Jetta will be auctioned off at the upcoming Barrett-Jackson Scottsdale 2016 auction that runs from January 23 to 31.
